Management and Oversight

At KAR Security we know the importance of investing in our personnel. Since our inception in 2008, we have focused on recruiting and training the right people for each area of operations. However, it remains our key management staff that drive this ethos effectively. KAR Security consultants have all served in front line military or armed police forces and have a considerable amount of commercial experience on operations in challenging locations.

KAR Security Training

All KAR security personnel go through an initial training course relevant to their positions. The focus of the training is to instil a professional approach to all their duties. This initial training is augmented by continuous improvement courses to ensure that there is no degradation in performance over time. Training is conducted adhering to the requirements of ANSI:PSC1.

The training is primarily focussed on the skills required for the relevant job, but all KAR Security staff are also trained in the importance of human rights. All training is based on the ethos outlined by the International Code of Conduct Association (www.icoca.ch) and underpinned by the UNs Global Compact and guidance on conflict sensitive business practises.
In KAR Security’s area of operations, road travel is often a critical hazard to clients. We have invested in the training and qualifications of our personnel to ensure that all drivers are trained to the highest standards.

Emergency Response

KAR Security tailors emergency planning to each of our clients and then carries out exercises to ensure that processes are robust and workable. This planning covers both medical and non-medical emergencies and seeks to ensure that options are available to cope with all eventualities.

KAR Security recognizes that due to the nature of medical care in remote areas of operations there is a requirement to ensure that a level of initial medical treatment is organic to each team. All KAR Security staff are first responder trained.

Crises Planning

An integral element of all security operations in complex environments must be plans related to possible crises and evacuation. KAR Security is constantly working to ensure our clients are well informed and at the correct level of preparedness for all possible developments. KAR Security has a detailed set of evacuation procedures and an intelligence reporting structure that is tied to the probability of a regional crisis. It is this process that ensures robust plans, specific to each of our clients are in place and always up to date.

Specialised Medical Support

KAR Security is dedicated to delivering remote medical support by deploying highly trained and well-equipped medical personnel. We work closely with several hospitals in the country to ensure seamless coordination and efficient healthcare services. With our extensive experience in this field, we take pride in having state-registered paramedics who bring immense value to our operations.

Total Quality Management

A comprehensive management program is at the heart of all successful service delivery. All KAR Security projects are primarily the responsibility of the project management team. However, the human resource, intelligence planning and general support services are all supplied by KAR Security’s in country senior management team.

The senior team is focused on the management and delivery of quality in everything they do. This covers management of the contractual requirements, job performance standards, corrective action implementation and follow up reporting. To ensure that all KAR Security’s quality assurance procedures are of an international standard.
